The Kentucky Reading Project is a highly selective program. Up to 20 teachers will be selected to participate at each site. Applicants should be dedicated teachers who are committed to improving student achievement in literacy.

II. To what extent can you recommend this applicant as an instructional leader who works well as an active member of the learning community?

I will actively support and work with our teacher or teacher team as the Literacy Action Plan is implemented to improve student achievement. I will honor the teacher’s commitment to attend the summer institute, as well as the follow-up sessions during the school year.
